AKION Producer (https://producer.akion.gr) is a web service that turns long videos into short vertical clips with word-by-word karaoke captions, and publishes those clips to your own social media accounts when you tell it to. This policy explains what data we collect, why, where it goes, and what your rights are. We have tried to keep it short and readable. Our Terms of Service are available at https://producer.akion.gr/terms.
The controller of your personal data is the operator of AKION Producer, based in Greece (European Union):
We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer at our scale; the email above is the direct way to reach the controller.
We only collect what the service needs to work:
We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertising platforms.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
All platform connections work the same way: you authorize the connection, we store the resulting tokens server-side in your workspace, we read basic account info to show in the UI, and we upload or publish content only when you explicitly tell us to. We never post on our own initiative, and no human at AKION reads your platform data unless you explicitly ask us to (for example, in a support request).
AKION Producer uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features of AKION Producer you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What we access and store when you connect YouTube:
We do not share your Google/YouTube data with anyone. The only third party that touches it is our hosting provider (Hostinger), whose servers store the tokens as part of running the service — see section 5. We never transfer it to any other app or service.
How long we keep it: any Google/YouTube user data we store is kept for no longer than 30 calendar days, after which it is refreshed or deleted. When you disconnect YouTube inside AKION Producer, your tokens are deleted immediately, and all stored data tied to that authorization is deleted within 7 calendar days. If you instead revoke access from Google's side, we delete the data within 30 calendar days.
In addition to disconnecting inside AKION Producer, you can revoke AKION Producer's access to your Google data at any time via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
AKION Producer's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms: we use Google data only to provide the features you see, we never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never let humans read it without your explicit consent.
When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account, we store the OAuth tokens server-side in your workspace and read your account name and avatar for display. We use the tokens only to publish your clips (and related covers and copy) to your own Page or account when you press publish. We do not process any other Meta Platform Data, and we process it only as described in this policy.
You can request deletion of this data at any time, free of charge, wherever you are: disconnecting Facebook/Instagram inside AKION Producer deletes the tokens immediately, and you can email kimon.ioannides@gmail.com to have all Meta-related data tied to your workspace deleted. This deletion right is available to every user of the app. We also delete Meta Platform Data as soon as it is no longer needed, and when you deauthorize the app or delete your account. Step-by-step deletion instructions are in the Data deletion section of this policy.
When you connect TikTok, we store the OAuth tokens server-side in your workspace and read your account name, avatar, and creator settings (such as posting options) to show in the interface. We use the tokens only to upload and post your clips to your own TikTok account on your explicit action. Disconnecting TikTok inside AKION Producer deletes the tokens immediately. We never share your TikTok personal data with anyone without your consent — your data belongs to you.
Your workspace data and content live on our virtual private server, hosted in the EU-reachable infrastructure of Hostinger. Master files and rendered clips are additionally backed up to a Google Drive storage account we control. We use the following processors and subprocessors:
Google, Meta, TikTok, and ElevenLabs may process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by an adequacy safeguard: the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us for more detail on the safeguard applying to a specific provider.
Full deletion: email kimon.ioannides@gmail.com from your account and we will delete your account, your content, and all associated data — including all Facebook/Instagram and TikTok data tied to your workspace. This is free of charge and available to all users, in any region, at any time.
If you only want to remove a single platform connection rather than your whole account, disconnect that platform inside AKION Producer — its tokens are deleted immediately, as described in section 4.
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email kimon.ioannides@gmail.com. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in our case the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), or the authority in your own EU country.
We use exactly one cookie: a strictly-necessary session cookie that keeps you logged into your workspace. It is essential for the service to function and requires no consent banner. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers.
AKION Producer is a business tool for content teams and is intended for users aged 18 and over. The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children — even though the videos our users produce may themselves be children's entertainment content.
Platform tokens and your content are stored server-side, not in your browser, and access to them is restricted to the service itself. Access to your workspace requires your login, and all traffic between your browser and AKION Producer is encrypted with HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
If we change how we handle your data — for example, adding a new processor or a new use of platform data — we will update this policy first and, where the change concerns data obtained via a connected platform, ask for your consent again where required. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. Significant changes will be announced inside the service.
Questions, complaints, or requests about privacy: kimon.ioannides@gmail.com. This policy is governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union. Our Terms of Service are at https://producer.akion.gr/terms.
