These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AKION Producer, available at https://producer.akion.gr ("the Service"). The Service is operated by SELINA PRODUCTIONS AE (Greek Tax ID/ΑΦΜ 999649876), G. Papandreou 60, Nea Erithraia, 15671 Athens, Greece, trading as AKION Producer (the "we", "us", "our" in these Terms). Contact: kimon.ioannides@gmail.com.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or team, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.
AKION Producer is a web application that turns long videos into short vertical clips. It provides tools to upload videos, generate transcripts and word-by-word karaoke captions (using automated transcription), choose cut points, create covers and copy text, render finished clips, and publish them to your own social media accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) when you tell it to.
The Service is aimed at business users such as content teams. It is not directed at children, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) to use it.
You keep ownership. Videos, audio, captions, covers, copy text and anything else you upload to or create in the Service ("User Content") remain yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your content to us.
Licence to us. So that the Service can work, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, transcribe, edit, render and back up your User Content, and to transmit it to the platforms you connect — solely to operate the Service and only on your instruction. For example, we send your audio to our transcription provider to generate captions, we store masters and renders (including a backup copy on Google Drive), and we upload a finished clip to your YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account when you click publish. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for short-lived backup copies that are deleted in the normal course of operations and any copies we are required to retain to comply with law, which we keep only as long as the law requires.
We publish nothing on our own. The Service uploads or publishes content to your social accounts only when you explicitly trigger that action.
You agree that you will:
We may remove content, suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules or applicable law are being violated. Where practical we will warn you first, but we may act immediately for serious or legally required cases.
How we handle personal data, tokens and transcripts is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
The Service is currently in a pre-launch phase. When paid plans are introduced, the available plans, prices and billing terms will be those shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase, and any changes to pricing will be communicated in advance and will apply from your next billing period. Until then, access granted free of charge (for example via the waitlist) is provided as-is and may be changed or withdrawn as the Service develops.
The Service is provided "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automated outputs — such as transcriptions, captions, cut suggestions or renders — will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing content before publishing it. Nothing in this section limits any warranty or guarantee that applies to you by mandatory law, including EU and Greek consumer-protection law where it applies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost profits, lost audience or reputational harm — or for losses caused by the acts or policies of third-party platforms, and our total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period (or, if you paid nothing, €100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer where consumer law applies.
You agree to compensate us for third-party claims that arise from your User Content or your breach of these Terms (for example, a copyright claim over material you uploaded without the rights to it), except to the extent the claim was caused by us.
The Service is under active development and features may change, improve or be removed. We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice — for example by email or an in-app notice. If you continue using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Greece. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules or the courts of your country of residence within the EU.
